BOP Bristol
About BOP Bristol
BOP Bristol, short for Books on Photography, is the city's annual photobook festival, run by the Martin Parr Foundation at Paintworks. Across a single weekend it fills the gallery and event space with dozens of independent photobook publishers, booksellers and self-publishing artists from the UK, Europe and beyond, making it a browsing paradise for anyone who loves photography in print.
Beyond the book fair there are artist talks, exhibitions, book signings and the much loved photo pub quiz, with street food, coffee and local beer on hand throughout. Entry to the fair is free, so whether you are a photographer, a publisher or simply curious about independent publishing, it is one of the warmest and most distinctive dates in Bristol's cultural calendar.
