St Pauls Carnival is one of Bristol’s best-loved cultural celebrations, rooted in African Caribbean arts and culture and shaped by the community spirit of St Pauls. Since its beginnings in 1968, it has grown into a major, inclusive event that brings people together through music, dance, costume, sound system culture and carnival creativity. St Pauls Carnival+1
Alongside the main celebrations, the organisation runs year-round community and education work, and in recent years has delivered programmes like Back a Yard, designed to take Carnival back to its roots and highlight themes of heritage, activism and cultural legacy. St Pauls Carnival
